About Jim Hardenbrook

Jim Hardenbrook became interim pastor of Nampa Church of the Brethren in February of 1993. A year later he was installed as the congregation’s pastor. He was ordained in the Independent Christian Church in 1973 and has served congregations in Washington State, Oregon, and Idaho. Jim has degrees from Puget Sound Christian College (Mountlake Terrace, WA) and Northwest Nazarene University (Nampa, ID).

Jim and Pam have been married for 31 years. Their three children are grown. Jamie (married to Tim; children Elisa and Wilkin) lives in Virginia. Jay (married to Amy) and Joe live in Alaska.

Pam works part-time as a technical writer out of a home office and is currently a contractor with Hewlett-Packard. She is very involved in the Nampa congregation teaching Sunday School, helping with Kid’s Own Worship, facilitating a women’s Bible study, and playing piano at the first worship service.

Jim’s spare time is spent officiating high school football in the fall, fly fishing when possible, and serving the Idaho House of Representatives as chaplain during the Legislative Session (January-March). Jim is active in the Caldwell Kiwanis Club and the Nampa Ministerial Association. He is the chair of the 2004 Idaho State Leadership Breakfast (March 13, 2004). Jim also heads up the Fatherhood Project for Healthy Families Nampa, an exciting faith-based initiative designed to make Nampa a great place for families. Healthy Families Nampa was recently named an Impact Project by the Department of Human and Health Services and was awarded a $544,000 grant.

Jim and Pam’s latest adventure was a 20-day road trip from Idaho to Fairbanks, AK in June 2003. They drove their Miata and camped along the way.
